| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] മമ്മൂട്ടിക്കെതിരെ സംവിധായകന്‍ വിനയന്‍ വീണ്ടും ശബ്ദമുയര്‍ത്തുന്നു. മികച്ച നടനുള്ള ദേശീയ പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിയ്ക്കാന്‍ മമ്മൂട്ടി യെ പോലുള്ള താരങ്ങള്‍ അര്‍ഹരല്ലെന്ന് വിനയന്‍. മമ്മൂട്ടിക്ക് ഭരത് അവാര്‍ഡും പത്മഭൂഷണുമൊക്കെ എങ്ങനെ കിട്ടിയെന്നത് ഗവേഷണം നടത്തി കണ്ടുപിടിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യമാണെന്നും വിനയന്‍ പരിഹസിച്ചു. ഒരു മാധ്യമത്തിന് നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തിലാണ് വിനയന്‍ മമ്മൂട്ടിക്കെതിരെ തുറന്നടിച്ചത്.
തന്റെ പുതിയ ചിത്രമായ യക്ഷിയും ഞാനും എന്ന സിനിമയിലും പാട്ടു പരസ്യങ്ങളും കൈരളി ചാനലില്‍ വരരുതെന്ന് മമ്മൂട്ടി നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നല്‍കിയെന്ന് വിനയന്‍ ആരോപിച്ചു. ഇത്ര തരം താണ കളികള്‍ നടത്തുന്ന മമ്മൂട്ടിയ്ക്ക് എങ്ങനെ ഭരതും പത്മഭൂഷണും കിട്ടിയതെന്ന് ഗവേഷണം നടത്തണം. കൈരളി ചാനല്‍ വെച്ച് മമ്മൂട്ടി തന്നെ പരമാവധി ദ്രോഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
യക്ഷിയും ഞാനും സിനിമയുടെ ചാനല്‍ പ്രമോഷന്‍ പരിപാടി മമ്മൂട്ടി ഇടപെട്ട് തടഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അത്ര മോശം സിനിമയാണോ യക്ഷിയും ഞാനും. മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ പല സിനിമകളേക്കളും നല്ലതാണ് ആ ചിത്രം. ഇങ്ങേര് കൊമ്പ് വെച്ച സിനിമ കണ്ട് രോമാഞ്ചം കൊള്ളുന്നവരാണല്ലോ മലയാളികളെന്നും വിനയന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
സൂപ്പറുകളില്‍ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശ്‌നക്കാരനാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടി. അങ്ങേര്‍ക്കുള്ള ഈഗോ ഇവിടെ വേറെയാര്‍ക്കുമില്ല. മമ്മൂട്ടി വരുമ്പോള്‍ സെറ്റിലുള്ളവര്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് ബഹുമാനിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ അവര്‍ പിന്നെ അവിടെയുണ്ടാകില്ലെന്നും വിനയന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. | |

| ത്രില്ലര്‍ മുക്കൂകുത്തി; പൃഥ്വിയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചടി [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ഇരിയ്ക്കും മുമ്പെ കാലുനീട്ടരുതെന്ന് പഴമക്കാര്‍ പറയാറുണ്ട്. ഇതുകേള്‍ക്കാത്തവര്‍ മലര്‍ന്നടിച്ചു വീഴുമെന്ന കാര്യം ആരും പറയേണ്ടആവശ്യമില്ല. അത്തരമൊരു വീഴ്ചയിലേക്കാണോ യങ് സ്റ്റാര്‍ പൃഥ്വിരാജും നീങ്ങുന്നത്
പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകള്‍ മലയാള സിനിമയെ അടക്കിഭരിച്ച മമ്മൂട്ടി-മോഹന്‍ലാല്‍ ദ്വയത്തെ ഒറ്റയടിയ്ക്ക് പിന്നിലാക്കി കുതിയ്ക്കാനുള്ള വെമ്പലിലാണ് പൃഥ്വി. മലയാളത്തില്‍ ഇപ്പോഴിതിന് ശേഷിയുള്ള താരം പൃഥ്വി തന്നെയാണെന്ന് പറയുന്നവരും ഏറെയാണ്. അത് ഏറെക്കുറെ ശരിയുമാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ പൃഥ്വി ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തിയറ്ററുകളില്‍ നേരിടുന്ന തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ തിരിച്ചടി ഈയൊരു അവകാശവാദത്തിന തടയിടുകയാണ്്.
പുതിയമുഖത്തിന്റെ വമ്പന്‍വിജയത്തോടെയാണ് പൃഥ്വിയുടെ കരിയര്‍ഗ്രാഫ് കുത്തനെ ഉയര്‍ന്നത്. പൃഥ്വി ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് നേടിയ വിജയമെന്ന നിലയ്ക്കാണ് പുതിയമുഖം വിലയിരുത്തപ്പെട്ടത്. എന്നാല്‍ യാഥാര്‍ഥ്യം ഇതില്‍ നിന്നും നേരെ തിരിച്ചാണ്. സിനിമയിലെത്തി ഏഴെട്ട് വര്‍ഷമായെങ്കിലും ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് സിനിമ വിജയിപ്പിയ്ക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന താരമായി പൃഥ്വി ഇതുവരെയും വളര്‍ന്നിട്ടില്ലെന്നതാണ് സത്യം. നന്ദനം, ചോക്ലേറ്റ്, ക്ലാസ്‌മേറ്റ്‌സ,് സ്വപ്‌നക്കൂട് പൃഥ്വിയുടെ കരിയറിലെ ഈ വമ്പന്‍ ഹിറ്റുകളിലെല്ലാം സഹതാരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വന്‍ പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവസാനത്തെ ഹിറ്റായ പോക്കിരി രാജയുടെ ക്രെഡിറ്റ് പോലും പൃഥ്വിയ്ക്ക് സ്വന്തമല്ല. പുതിയമുഖം, വര്‍ഗ്ഗം, വെള്ളിനക്ഷത്രം,എന്നിങ്ങനെ ചുരുക്കം ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് ഇതിന് അപവാദം.
കഴിഞ്ഞ റംസാന് തിയറ്ററുകളിലെത്തിയ അന്‍വറിന് ലഭിച്ച വന്‍ ഇനീഷ്യല്‍ കളക്ഷന്‍ പൃഥ്വി സൂപ്പര്‍താപദവിയിലേക്ക് കുതിയ്ക്കുകയാണെന്ന പ്രചാരണങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വന്‍ ശക്തി പകര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. മലബാര്‍ ഏരിയയില്‍ അന്‍വറിന് ലഭിച്ച വന്‍ സ്വീകരണം മമ്മൂട്ടിയ്ക്ക് ഏറെ ഭീഷണി ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നുവെന്നും അന്ന് പ്രചാരണമുണ്ടായി.
എന്നാല്‍ ലോങ് റണ്ണില്‍ അന്‍വറിന് വലിയ നേട്ടമുണ്ടാക്കാനായില്ല എന്നതാണ് യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യം. സിനിമയുടെ നിര്‍മാതാവ് രാജ് സക്കറിയ തന്നെ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഇക്കാര്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ബി ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ദ ത്രില്ലര്‍ തിയറ്ററുകളിലെത്തിയത്. ആദ്യവാരാന്ത്യം വന്‍ കളക്ഷന്‍ ലഭിച്ചെങ്കിലും പിന്നീട് വന്‍ ഇടിവാണ് ത്രില്ലറിന് നേരിട്ടത്. പൃഥ്വിയ്ക്ക് ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്ന ആരാധകവൃന്ദം പോലും സിനിമയ്ക്ക് രക്ഷയായില്ല. വന്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷകളുമായെത്തുന്ന പൃഥ്വി ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ നേരിടുന്ന തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ പരാജയങ്ങള്‍ താരത്തിന്റെ കരിയര്‍ ഗ്രാഫിന് മങ്ങലേല്‍പ്പിയ്ക്കുകയാണ്. പൃഥ്വിയുടെ ക്രെഡിറ്റില്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം ആകെ പറയാവുന്നത് പോക്കിരി രാജയുടെ വിജയം മാത്രമാണ്. ഇതിനെല്ലാം പുറമെ തമിഴില്‍ വന്‍ കോലാഹലം സൃഷ്ടിച്ച രാവണന്റെ പരാജയവും പൃഥ്വിയ്ക്ക് തിരിച്ചടിയായി.
ഈ പരാജയങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടെയാണ് പ്രകോപനപരമായ വാക്കുകളും പൃഥ്വിയുടെ ഭാഗത്തു നിന്നുണ്ടാവുന്നത്. എന്നെ ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്തവര്‍ എന്റെ സിനിമ കാണേണ്ടതില്ലെന്നും എന്നാല്‍ തന്റെ സിനിമ കാണുന്ന മറ്റുള്ളവരെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശം മറ്റാര്‍ക്കും ഇല്ലെന്നായിരുന്നു പൃഥ്വി ഈയിടെ ഒരു മാധ്യമത്തിന് നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞത്. സിനിമകളുടെ പരാജയം മാത്രമല്ല, പക്വതയില്ലാത്ത ഇത്തരം വാക്കുകള്‍ താരത്തിന്റെ കൂടുതല്‍ ദോഷകരമാവുമെന്ന കാര്യത്തില്‍ സംശയമില്ല.
സ്വന്തമായി നിര്‍മിയ്ക്കുന്ന ഉറുമിയുള്‍പ്പെടെ അഞ്ചോളം സിനിമകളാണ് പൃഥ്വി ഇപ്പോള്‍ അഭിനയിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ സിനിമകളുടെ വിജയപരാജയങ്ങള്‍ താരത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ഏറെ നിര്‍ണായകമാണ്. താത്കാലികമായി ഉണ്ടായ ചില പരാജയങ്ങളോടെ പൃഥ്വിയെന്ന താരം അസ്തമിയ്ക്കുമെന്ന് ആരും പ്രതീക്ഷിയ്ക്കുന്നില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ കരുതലോടെ ചുവടുവെച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ മറ്റൊരു കൊള്ളിനക്ഷത്രമായി പൃഥ്വി മാറിയേക്കാം | |

It is nowhere near the star's last release Anwar, which not only took a bumper opening but was comparatively a safe bet compared to Thriller.
According to George Thomas, a leading trade analyst : "Anwar took a fantastic opening and then fell, but will collect around Rs 3 Crore from theatricals and another Rs 2 crore from other rights, making it profitable for the producers. But Thriller may do just around Rs 1 crore from theatricals, as collections are only one fifth of Anwar. For example in Ernakulam, Anwar took a distributors share of Rs 15.25 lakhs from Shenoys, while it will be a wonder if Thriller can manage to collect a share of Rs 3 lakhs from Kavitha"!
Prithviraj has to be careful about his choice of films and directors. As per the last count he has given dates to a dozen directors.
Now he is shooting simultaneously for five films Urumi, City of God, Arjunan Sakshi and cameo appearances in Makeup Man and Manushamrigam.
The big question is has the actor in him gone through the script of all these films?
Industry veterans say that he is in a hurry to replace M & M. In a way Raju (pet name) is the only actor now in Malayalam films who is within a striking distance to overtake the living legends. There is a lot of jealousy among other stars at the rise and rise of Prithviraj. The rumour mill has it that a few of them are actively trying to target his films.
Prithviraj should be matured enough to handle it by ignoring such 'Para's' (obstacles) by taking it in his stride and moving on with his march to conquer the box-office. He should not say things like "Those who don't like me need not see my films. What right has these people in stopping others from watching my films? I certainly believe that my films are aesthetically far superior to their films which may have been successful."
Prithviraj is the youngest actor to reach such dizzy heights. He is highly misunderstood and is not arrogant like many make him out to be. Prithvi is not only a fine actor but is the rising star. He has to be careful about the script that he chooses, talk less and let his film do all the talking. | |
