| Industry sources say that Ajith’s 50th film 'Asal' will be releasing in 500 screens worldwide. It’s worthy to mention that Ajith’s previous film ‘Billa’ released in 300 screens across the world with 300 prints.
On the other hand, Chennai distributors are happy as Ajith-Saran films earn awesome collection and so are confident that ‘Asal’ will pay them big time too.
'Asal' is expected to throw a lot of surprises and one among them will be Ajith’s getup as they have worked a lot before finalizing that make over.
As of now, Asal’s audio is making rounds often in radio channels. Sivaji films had announced that our Thala will be receiving a special credit from them to have associated with the movie apart from acting in the lead role.
Industry is abuzz that ‘Asal’ might be a Feb release. Produced by Prabhu and Ramkumar for Sivaji Films, Ajith has Sameera Reddy and Bhavana opposite him. | |

| The day has come. The much awaited Thala film produced by actor Prabhu for Sivaji Productions is opening on this Friday and booking starts on Wednesday. In Chennai city alone ‘Asal’ opens in 13 theatres.
Year 2010 has not started well for the Tamil industry and all eyes are on ‘Asal’ now to usher in good luck for the New Year. All hope ‘Asal’ will oblige
The classy action film is Ajith’s 49th film and so his fans are waiting to celebrate. The ever lovable Ajith who came in 1993 with a romantic ‘Amaravathi’ has grown many folds in talent and character for his 49th film ‘Asal’ in 2010.
‘Asal’ brings back Ajith-Saran combine for the fourth time after hits Kadhal Mannan, Amarkalam and Attagasam. The music by Bharadwaj is already on top and the film is expected to recreate the magic of earlier times.
More over Sivaji films had whispered that our Thala will get a special credit in the title card for a surprise work other than his double role play. We could guess something when director Saran said with his experience and talent Ajith can direct a film.
‘Asal’ opens worldwide in 500 screens across the world. This is a more than the super hit ‘Billa-2’ which opened in 300 centres.
The leading ladies of the film are Sameera Reddy and Bhavana. | |

We all know Kollywood's ultimate star Ajith Kumar's craze for car
races! A professional car racer, he has driven in circuits around India
and abroad for various races, including Formula Asia BMW Championships
in 2003. When he felt a few years ago that this passion for car racing
negatively affected his cine career, he voluntarily stopped
participating in car races.
Now, a Malaysia-based Ajith fan club states that the actor has
decided to participate in MRF Formula 1600 International Challenge
series to be held at Madras Motor Race Track, Irungattukottai,
Sriperumputhur on February 14. The prize money is Rs. 30 lakhs.
"He is going to race with the newly introduced MRF F-1600 race car
along with the 'Fastest Indian' F1 racer Narain Karthikeyan and rising
talent Karan Chandokh. It will be a 15 lap race. The car is built by
MRF’s chief tuner J. Anand of Coimbatore and is equipped with 1600cc
Ford Duratec engine that develops 130bhp," the press note said. | |

“പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടതല്ലാതെ ആരും എന്നോട് ഈ സിനിമയെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല” - ഗൌതം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഇപ്പോള് രണ്ടു ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ തിരക്കിലാണ് ഗൌതം മേനോന്. വിക്രമിനെ നായകനാക്കി ഒരു സിനിമയും ‘വിണ്ണൈത്താണ്ടി വരുവായാ’യുടെ ഹിന്ദിയും. ഈ രണ്ടു സിനിമകള്ക്ക് ശേഷം മാത്രമേ മറ്റ് പ്രൊജക്ടുകളെപ്പറ്റി ഗൌതം ആലോചിക്കൂ.
