Even though Akshay Kumar has been acting for almost two decades never for once has the actor played a Muslim character. However he finally got the opportunity when Farah Khan offered him Tees Maar Khan. “This is the first time that Akshay Kumar will be playing a Muslim character as he plays a person called Tabrez Mirza Khan. It’s a super character. He is an international con man. In certain ways he is like half Robin Hood. He takes from rich but does not give it to the poor!” reveals Farah. The film which has been written by Shirish Kunder will be directed by his wife Farah and was supposed to star Shah Rukh Khan initially. However SRK didn’t have time for the film for another year and Farah and Shirish wanted to start their production house right away. Looks like Akshay turned lucky in more than one way here and turned Tee Maar Khan in the process! The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna.
