24 Hours
is an action thriller directed by Aditya Sam Abraham that stars
newcomer Kuldeep and Manoj K Jayan in lead roles. The film is based on a
story by the director himself.

Kuldeep in 24 Hours plays an innocent youngster who gets embroiled in a
game of life and death. He is mistakenly taken for another man who has
killed a mafia don's brother.

The don who vows revenge sets his men after the youngster and demands
that he be killed within 24 Hours. Unarmed and untrained, the youngster
fights frantically for his life, as the clock starts ticking away.

Debutante actor Kuldeep has been cast in the lead role while Manoj K.
Jayan plays the mafia don. Komal, a Bangalore-based model, plays the
female lead.

There is also Shammi Tilkan who plays a cop, and an honest one for a
change. Devan, Vinaya Prasad, Anil Murali, Jagathy Sreekumar, Jameel
Khan and Irshad play other major roles.

The makers claim that the film would be a slick action entertainer with a
nail biting finish. Get set for some real action hungama with '24
Hours' that releases on the 4th of June.

Mamta Mohandas in 'Karayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram'

  (NR): Mamta Mohandas who has recently made a strong comeback to
  Malayalam films through Sathyan Anthikkad's film 'Katha Thudarunnu'
  would now be seen in 'Karayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram'; a film to be
  directed by Vinod Mankara.
  
  Indrajith, Lekshmi Sharma, Dhanya Mary Varghese, Jagathy Sreekumar,
  Nedumudi Venu, Devan, Sreeraman, Bijukuttan, Anoop Chandran, Sudheesh, T
  P Madhavan, Salu Menon and Sreedevi Unni would also play important
  roles in the film.
  
  M Jayachandran would compose the music, and the lyrics would be written
  by ONV.
  
  'Karayilekku Oru Kadal Dooram' would be produced by Siddiq Mankara under
  the banner of ITL Productions.
  

Acting with Aishwarya is very difficult, says Raju





It was very difficult for me to act in combination scenes with
Aishwarya Rai in 'Raavanan', says Prithviraj in a matter of fact way.

The reason? "You cannot keep looking
at her and act. At the same time, it is not all easy to take your eyes
off the stunning beauty," the young superstar, who plays her onscreen
husband in the Mani Ratnam magnum opus says frankly.

Raju has a great opinion of the former beauty queen and the bahu of the
Bachchan house. He says she is a very professional artiste and she
managed to do the Hindi and Tamil versions one after the other everyday
with astonishing ease.

For Raju, it was his long cherished dream to play the male elad in a
Mani Ratnam film. He feels this film would give him a break similar to
what Mammootty and Mohanlal gained from 'Thalapathi' and 'Iruvar'
respectively.

Prithviraj says that acting under Mani Ratnam's guidance gave him many
unforgettable experiences. He realised several new things about himself,
new facets about his own personality while working for this film. He
thinks this is the best an actor can say about one of his films.

When Sreeni replaced Mammootty

It was
with Mammootty in mind that Premlal wrote the screenplay of
'Athmakatha'.

The megastar liked the story ver much, but he
had n't the dates to spare for amovie for the next two years.

Premlal, who has spent eight years on the script, was not in a position
to wait another two years for the movie. That was how Sreenivasan
entered the picture. On hearing that Sreeni would do the role intended
for him, Mammootty pointed out that all films, in which he was replaced
by Sreeni, had become hits. 'Passenger' was the last such instance.

'Athmakatha' is being produced by Santhosh Pavithram and Shefeer Seth.
Sameer Anthikkad cranks the camera and Alphonse Joseph scores the tunes
to lines penned by kaithaprom anf Chandrasekharan Engandiyoor.
