| ആരുമറിഞ്ഞില്ല, ആരെയും അറിയിച്ചുമില്ല. നടി സിന്ധുമേനോന് വിവാഹിതയായി. ബാംഗ്ലൂരില് വച്ചാണ് വിവാഹം നടന്നത്. ലണ്ടനില് സോഫ്റ്റുവെയര് ബിസിനസുകാരനായ പ്രഭുവാണ് വരന്.
സിനിമയിലെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെയോ മാധ്യമങ്ങളെയോ വിവാഹക്കാര്യം അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കള് മാത്രമാണ് വിവാഹച്ചടങ്ങില് പങ്കെടുത്തത്. സിന്ധുവിന്റെ അകന്ന ബന്ധുവാണ് പ്രഭു എന്നാണ് വിവരം. ഏപ്രിലില് ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ ബൌറിംഗ് ക്ലബ്ബില് വച്ച് ഇവരുടെ വിവാഹനിശ്ചയം കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. വിവാഹം രഹസ്യമാക്കി വച്ചതിന്റെ കാരണം സിന്ധു പിന്നീട് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
“പ്രഭു എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ അകന്ന ബന്ധുവാണ്. ലണ്ടനില് അദ്ദേഹം ബിസിനസ് നടത്തുകയാണ്. വിവാഹം പെട്ടെന്ന് നിശ്ചയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അതിനാല് എല്ലാവരെയും അറിയിക്കാന് സാധിച്ചില്ല. പ്രഭു ലണ്ടനിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. പ്രഭുവുമൊത്ത് ലണ്ടനില് ജീവിതം ആരംഭിക്കാനാണ് ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്.” - സിന്ധു വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
അതേസമയം, പ്രഭു മലയാളിയല്ലെന്നും ആന്ധ്ര സ്വദേശിയാണെന്നും ചില വാര്ത്തകള് പ്രചരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇതൊരു പ്രണയവിവാഹമാണെന്നും സൂചനകളുണ്ട്.
1994ല് രശ്മി എന്ന കന്നഡ ചിത്രത്തില് ബാലതാരമായാണ് സിന്ധു വെള്ളിത്തിരയില് എത്തിയത്. ഉത്തമന്, തൊമ്മനും മക്കളും, രാജമാണിക്യം, വാസ്തവം, ഡിറ്റക്ടീവ് തുടങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെ സിന്ധു മലയാളത്തില് ചുവടുറപ്പിച്ചു. ‘ഈറം’ എന്ന സൂപ്പര്ഹിറ്റ് ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ തമിഴിലും സിന്ധു തന്റേതായ ഇടം നേടി. | |
