Mammootty-Renjith in 'Pranchiyettan'




Mammootty and Renjith, who had teamed up to make '‘Palery
Manickyam: Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Katha’, one of the better films
ever made in Malayalam, team up for ‘Pranchiyettan and the Saint’.

The film will be a satire; Mammootty
and Innocent will be seen in title roles. The film will go on floors in a
couple of weeks, it is reported. Renjith himself pens the script,
national award winner Ouseppachan composes the music and Venu is the
cinematographer.

The creative association between Mammootty and Renjith began in 2003,
when the latter made 'Black'. Later, they joined hands for 'Prajapathy',
'Kaiyoppu', 'Kerala Kafe' and 'Paleri Manikyam'.

ചിത്രകാരനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമായ മനാഫ് ഹുസൈന്‍
എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ മണി അവതരിപ്പിയ്ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നാടകനടനായ രാമുവെന്ന
കഥാപാത്രമാണ് കണ്ണന് ലഭിച്ചിരിയ്ക്കുന്നത്. പുതുമുഖ താരം അള്‍ത്താരയാണ്
ചിത്രത്തിലെ മാധുരി എന്ന നായികാകഥാപാത്രത്തിന് ജീവന്‍ നല്‍കുന്നത്.

ബോബന്‍
ആലംമൂടന്‍, കോട്ടയം നസീര്‍, റഹ്മാന്‍, ഇന്ദ്രന്‍സ്, വിദ്യാലക്ഷ്മി,
ചാലിപാല തുടങ്ങിയവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ മറ്റുപ്രധാന താരങ്ങള്‍. ബ്ലൂവെയില്‍
ഇന്റര്‍നാഷണലിന്റെ ബാനറില്‍ ഷാജി നെടുങ്കല്ലന്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിയ്ക്കുന്ന ഈ
ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഛായാഗ്രഹണം റെജി പ്രസാദാണ് കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

ജോഡികളുടെ സൂപ്പര്‍ഹിറ്റ് സിനിമയായ സിഐഡി മൂസയുടെ രണ്ടാം ഭാഗമുണ്ടാകാന്‍
സാധ്യതയില്ലെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. ആദ്യസിനിമയുടെ തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുക്കളായ

പ്രതീക്ഷിയ്ക്കാം. സെക്കന്റ് പാര്‍ട്ട് ആദ്യ പാര്‍ട്ടിനെക്കാള്‍ ഒട്ടും
പിന്നിലാകരുത്. അപ്പോള്‍ നല്ല നിലയില്‍ ചെലവ് വരുന്ന സിനിമയായി അത് മാറും.

'Raama Raavanan' to release next week

'Rama
Raavanan', directed by Biju Vattappara, has been completed and is all
set for a release next week.

The film is based on 'Manomi', a novel by
reputed Malayali writer Madhavikutty.

Suresh Gopi plays the male lead, he essays the role of an LTTE activist,
named Thiruselvam. Mithra Kurian plays the female lead; as Manomi, a
Sinhalese girl. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri & Rafi Mathira
scores the tunes while Jibu Jacob is the cameraman. The film has been
shot at various locations in Sri Lanka, Thenkasi and Thiruvananthapuram.

The poignant story has a universal appeal. Due to the sensitivity of the
theme, the film may attract international attention, especially
because of the Sri Lankan ethnic angle to the story.

Sathyan loves 'Balagopalan' most!

Sathyan
Anthikkad, one of the most loved filmmakers in Malayalam, says that of
all his films, 'TP Balagopalan MA' is the one closest to his heart.

Though he has a special affinity to 'Katha
Thudarunnu' as it was his last release, 'Balagopalan' has a special
place in his heart, he said.

Sathyan says that he sees himself in Balagopalan. "I had narrated
several of my own experiences through him. He behaves much like me. That
is why I have a special liking for the film. There is nothing much to
say about the technical quality of the film, but it something different
for me on an emotional plane," he was speaking to a popular daily in
Malayalam.

Sathyan divides his career in films into two as before 'Balagopalan' and
after that. He says that the film had something extra which his
earlier superhits such as 'Kurukkante Kalyanam' and 'Appunni' lacked.
Its story was penned by Sathyan himself, Sreenivasan wrote the
screenplay; his first for the director. His performance in the film
fetched Mohanlal a state award for the Best Actor and the same team
went on to make memorable films such as 'Sanmanassullavarkku
Samadhanam' and 'Nadodikaattu'.

Jayaram, Rahman in 'Seniors'

As we
have reported earlier, Vysakh of 'Pokkiri Raja' fame has started
working on his second project, titled 'Seniors'.

The film with four senior actors in the lead,
will be another action packed entertainer. Well, who would don the
roles of these seniors?

Three of them have been finalised. They are: Jayaram, Rahman and Biju
Menon. The search for the fourth senior is on. The film promises to be a
full length comedy and will go on floors by the end of this year.

The film, produced by Vyshakha Rajan, is being written by Sachi-Sethu.
Vysakh's 'Pokkiri Raja' is still bringing in the crowds and is the first
blockbuster of the year.

in TS Suresh Babu's 'Kanyakumari Express'. The film has a huge cast
